Answering the question - 'What shall we do tonight?'

For Christmas, Adam’s sister bought us a super thoughtful gift – a cooking class for two! I was pumped – not only is this a great date idea (and one that I have wanted to try for a while), but I’m also pretty crap in the kitchen and could use all the help I can get!

This week’s date idea is all about luck. To mix up our evening we tossed a coin to determine everything about the night. Where we went, what we ate and the after dinner entertainment were all decided by the flip of a coin. It was so much fun to just go with the flow and see where the coin would lead us.

It’s a tell-tale sign that spring is around the corner when the maple trees are ready for harvest. Recently we took advantage of the sun with a date to the Bronte Creek Provincial Park Maple Syrup Festival.

For anyone not officially Irish or over the age of 21, St Patrick’s Day can be overlooked as a holiday. However, this year it falls on a Saturday. What better inspiration for a date idea than a St. Patrick’s day themed date night?

One of my favourite parts about last week’s Wii Tournament date was sharing the fun of video games with Adam. In our spare time, when we want a little escape from reality, Adam tends to pick up a video game controller while I would prefer to pick up a book. The nice thing about our date was that it allowed me to see how fun it can be to escape into the world of video games.

Whenever it’s cold or raining outside we all have different ways we like to kill time. Some people like books or movies and while I enjoy both, my favourite way to stave off winter boredom is playing video games. I’m not alone in my pursuit either. According to the Entertainment Software Association 72% of American households play computer or video games. Furthermore, the average age of players is 37 and 42% of all players are women. With those stats in mind, this week we decided to capitalize on being stuck inside and enjoyed a unique date idea – a friendly Nintendo Wii Tournament.
