Boys Need Pedicures Too!

After our romantic couples massage date did not go as well as planned, I wanted to try another spa date idea – so this week I took Adam to get his first pedicure! While the pedicure date idea took quite a bit of convincing, it turned out to be quite a lot of fun.
As I’m sure most of our readers have at one time or another had a pedicure, there really isn’t much to say about this date so I’m going to let the pictures do the talking:
Massage chairs!
I tried to get Adam to paint his toenails too, but that’s where he sternly drew the line.
This date idea was a last minute thought that required very little planning or time on our part. While it wasn’t the most romantic thing I’ve done with Adam we did enjoy our massage chairs and we had a good laugh through it all.
Pro Tips:
- This date took A LOT of convincing, but when Adam learned about the massage chairs he was pumped. Splurging for a real spa experience might make the difference for you too.
- Pedicures can leave your feet a little tender so I wouldn’t recommend getting one if you plan on doing a lot of walking right afterwards.
- Pay cash! We were lucky enough to save $10 each by not using plastic and I’ve heard similarly stories from friends.

Pedicures eh?
This one was tough to swallow at first especially with all the women (and NO men) coming in and out of the salon, but as the massage chair took over I was able to laugh it all off and enjoy myself.
All in all, I won't be doing this regularly, but considering that my feet take quite a beating, I kind of felt like I owed it to them to clean them up even just this one time.
I’m not sure I could get my boyfriend to get on board with this idea, but it’s something I would absolutely love to do even on my own. I’ve never had it done before.
Love the idea, the hubs won’t…maybe I can get a pedicure while he gets a haircut at two different places! He’s old school…
