After our romantic couples massage date did not go as well as planned, I wanted to try another spa date idea - so this week I took Adam to get his first pedicure! While the pedicure date idea took quite a bit of convincing, it turned out to be quite a lot of fun.

This summer has been the hottest I can ever remember in Southwestern Ontario. With multiple days at a time over 40 Celsius (that’s 104 Fahrenheit) we are getting plenty of time to get out and enjoy the sun. This past weekend’s forecast was as hot and humid as ever so we decided to take advantage of a relaxing day at the beach.

That’s why I was so excited when he suggested getting tickets to see Rock of Ages for a date night at the theatre.

Whether its the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Tuileries, or Champ de Mars overlooking the Eiffel Tower, amid the bustling city lie these lush green spaces that are frequented by tourists and Parisians alike. Perfect for strolling, people watching or a quiet picnic, this week’s date idea is inspired by the Paris gardens and the people who frequent them.

We talk about being Canadian quite bit on here, but it seems even more appropriate to mention it when the seasons are changing. In southern Ontario, May is the first month where we can reliably expect temperatures to go up and the sun to come out. It’s wonderful to shed some of those layers and get back outside. One of our favourite things to do on a hot day is find a sunny patio and make a happy hour date.
